Cenla Medication Access Program (CMAP)
The
Cenla Medication Access Program
(CMAP), based in Alexandria, Louisiana, was established in 2001 and provides chronic care prescription medications for people who cannot afford them. CMAP is funded by The Rapides Foundation.
Goal:
CMAP’s goal is to ensure appropriate medication access and education, and also promote other preventive health practices among residents with limited incomes.
Eligibility Requirements:
Client must reside in service area
Income must be at or below 200% Federal Poverty Level
Client must not have any prescription coverage - Insurance, Medicaid or Medicare
Client must be over 18 years of age
How the Program Works:
CMAP obtains donated medications through the patient assistance programs offered by the pharmaceutical companies. Our full-time patient assistance program specialists network with over 200 local physicians.
